Be sure to visit our practice facility at Manistee National Golf to warm up before you play our challenging courses or to just practice your game. There is a large
practice range with grass tees, as well as some artificial surfaces to use in rainy weather. Note that we are careful to alternate your teeing area between two sets of tee boxes to enhance condition for your practice session.
Begin your practice session with your wedges and work your way up to your driver; try to spend about 20-25 minutes hitting a variety of shots. If you are playing after your practice, you might want to consider “playing” the first few holes of the course on the range starting with the club you will use off the first tee and then use the club for your second shot, and so on.
Then head over to the practice green and bunker complex near the range to work on your chipping and sand game and spend about 15 to 20 minutes on these important scoring shots.
In addition we also have three other short-game practice areas for your convenience. First of all, a giant, two-tiered, 10,000 square-foot putting green is available outside our Inn for guests who are staying with us. We can loan you putters and balls if the whole family wishes to give our green a try. We also have a small putting green located next to the clubhouse.
Another putting and chipping area and par-3 hole are located in the back of the driving range where our lessons are given. This is a private area, just great for taking lessons from our golf professionals.
We charge $4 for a small basket and $6 for a large basket for those using our driving range.
