The short set is a shorter course or set of tees on Canthooke Valley.  The yardages allow juniors or beginners the ability to play with more experienced players and not have the pressure of holding up play.  With the shorter length, juniors will play approximately as many shots as their parents or grandparents on the same hole, so friendly competition can be had.  The short set tee's are located beyond the landing zone for the main tees tee shots.  So adults can play their tee shot, then their second shot, in most cases, and then arrive at the short set tee.

We have found that many grandparents find it enjoyable to play with their grandkids from the same location.  Some of our beginning Ladies have played these tees as well and find that the pressure of playing long holes is gone while they learn the game.  Come out and try The Short Set and see how you do.  It's another way that Manistee National Golf & Resort is providing ways to enjoy this great game.

Children under 10 yrs old.....FREE*

Children age 11-18 yrs old...$5.00 for 9 holes walking*

Adults and Seniors................$5.00 for 9 holes walking*
